The National Association of Colleges and Employers empowers and connects the community of professionals who support, develop, and employ the college-educated workforce.

Established in 1956, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) is a professional association that connects nearly 17,000 college career services professionals, university relations and recruiting professionals, and the business solution providers that serve this community.

NACE is the leading source of information on the employment of the college-educated, and forecasts hiring and trends in the job market; tracks starting salaries, recruiting and hiring practices, and student attitudes and outcomes; and identifies best practices and benchmarks.

  • ASSOCIATION OF NATIONAL ADVERTISERS (ANA)- FACULTY AND STAFF ONLY

The ANA is the U.S. advertising industry’s oldest and largest trade association. Originally known as the Association of National Advertising Managers, it was established to promote cooperative relationships between regional and national advertising industries, manufacturers and dealers, and advertisers and agencies. As the voice of the industry, the ANA provides the advertising community with a voice before Congress, state legislatures, Federal regulatory agencies, and the courts.

Lehman College is a member of the ANA. All faculty and staff can access ANA’s large library of teaching resources and attend local events and training by creating an account. See below:

Instructions on How to Create an Account:

1- Go to the website home page: www.ana.net.

2-Click on the “Membership” tab near the top of the page.

3-Click on the “Create an account” on the “Membership” menu.

–Enter your university business email address and then click “Continue”.

                –You will be prompted to create a password and then you should see that you’ve successfully created an account!

Below are some suggested best practices for getting started on including career readiness in the classroom.

  • Invite the Office of Career Exploration and Development to present to your class.
  • Open an account with the ANA and use the Campus Speakers program to invite a guest speaker into your classroom.
  • Encourage your students to create resumes
  • Encourage your students to pursue internships
  • Encourage your students to create a LinkedIn profile
  • Incorporate NACE competencies into your syllabus curriculum.
  • Get involved in Lehman’s career mapping initiatives. Contact the Office of Career Exploration and Development
